Massage Therapy

We believe massage therapy and chiropractic care go hand in hand. Our certified massage therapist is highly qualified to perform a wide variety of relaxing and therapeutic techniques, including:

  • Swedish
  • Hot Stone
  • Shiatsu
  • Maternity

The massages you receive at our chiropractic clinic are always safe and will help stimulate circulation, improve muscle tone, and ease tension throughout the body.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Learn more about our painless treatments at Hastings Family Chiropractic. During electrical muscle stimulation, we place small square sticky pads over areas of your body where you’re experiencing pain. Then, light electrical pulses are transmitted to help you decrease your pain, reduce inflammation, and ease muscle spasms. You should always trust in-office procedures versus take-home EMS units. We use the right frequency during electrotherapy to ensure effective results.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

One way we treat back pain and injuries is through ultrasounds. During this treatment, sound vibrations are pushed into the tissue. When this happens, heat develops throughout the body which helps reduce pain, increase circulation, and promotes healing of injuries and wounds.

Cold Laser Therapy

At Hastings Family Chiropractic, we believe in embracing newer technologies. Clinical trials have proven that lasers have a positive effect on pain, inflammation, and tissue repair. Both of our family chiropractors specialize in cold laser therapy. This laser is considered “cold” because it does not heat up the body during the process. A session can last anywhere from five to 10 minutes. Depending on the severity of your pain, we recommend eight to 15 treatments in total for long-lasting effects.

Needle & Electric Acupuncture

Our founder, Dr. Troy Wilson and Dr. Hannah Doyle, are certified to perform acupuncture. This ancient practice originated in China under the belief that the body has sources of energy, known as “qi” or “chi,” and that when these energy sources are out of balance, it can cause pain and discomfort in the body. In traditional acupuncture, needles are placed on specific points. In electric acupuncture, instead of needles, electric currents are passed through these specific points in the body. Both methods are comfortable and will help you reduce your overall pain.

Intersegmental Traction

Dr. Doyle specializes in intersegmental traction, which helps induce motion into the spine. This technique is painless, effective, and comfortable. Intersegmental traction is a crucial technique in chiropractic care because it:

  • Stretches Ligaments & Muscles
  • Reduces Muscle Spasms
  • Increases Joint Motion
  • Increases Blood Flow & Oxygen
  • Improves Balance, Strength, & Mobility

ArthroStim

If you’re nervous about a traditional spinal adjustment, our family chiropractors can also perform light adjustments with an ArthroStim. This instrument targets smaller areas in the body and does not cause the same popping or cracking noises that can sometimes make people feel uneasy. With an ArthroStim adjustment, you may also feel less post-treatment soreness.
